Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Gerard Serra Rodriguez (“BringBack”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the BringBack app and services.
Information We Collect
BringBack uses Firebase Authentication to let you sign in with Apple or Google. We process an account identifier and basic provider profile information needed to provide your account and saved library.
You may save URLs, text, and screenshots or images. Saved content is associated with your Firebase account. SavedItem data is stored in Cloud Firestore, and uploaded image attachments are stored in Cloud Storage.
How We Use Information
We use account and saved-content information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve BringBack features, including showing your saved items across installations when you sign in to the same account.
Location
BringBack accesses device location only if you grant permission, to provide contextual resurfacing. Your current device location is used on-device and is not uploaded as a raw current-location history. Coordinates of a place that you explicitly save or that is resolved as part of a SavedItem may be stored with that SavedItem.
Calendar Data
Apple Calendar access is optional. Raw Apple calendar content is processed on-device for contextual matching and is not uploaded as your raw calendar database. Connecting Google Calendar is optional, uses read-only Google Calendar scopes, and is separate from signing in to BringBack. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.
AI Processing
BringBack prefers deterministic, local processing and Apple on-device capabilities. Vision OCR is performed locally. Cloud AI fallback is optional and requires your explicit consent. When enabled, only the minimum textual evidence needed for content understanding, such as text, OCR text, or link metadata, may be sent through Firebase AI Logic and Google Gemini. Raw screenshots are not always sent to cloud services.
Service Providers
We use Firebase and Google services to operate BringBack, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, App Check, Remote Config, Analytics, Crashlytics, Firebase AI Logic, and Cloud Functions. These providers process information on our behalf to provide the services described here.
Analytics and Diagnostics
BringBack uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand app performance, reliability, and feature usage. We do not intentionally send SavedItem content, URLs, OCR text, raw calendar text, current device coordinates, or saved place names as analytics event parameters.
Data Retention
We retain account and saved-content data while your account is active, unless a longer period is required for legitimate operational, security, or legal reasons.
Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account in BringBack Settings. Account deletion deletes BringBack account data from Firestore and Storage and deletes the Firebase Authentication account. For accounts signed in with Apple, Apple authorization is revoked as part of this flow. Some infrastructure or security logs may be retained temporarily by service providers where legally or operationally required.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
BringBack is not directed to children. Do not use BringBack if you are not permitted to do so under applicable law.
International Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. We use providers and safeguards intended to support such processing in accordance with applicable law.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. To make a request, contact us at support@bringbackapp.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
